Pernod Ricard Marketing and Education Specialist
Venture Brands Spirits
Beth Brooks has lived in Austin since she was 5 years old. She was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, but having family roots in Texas that date back generations meant that it was only natural for her mother to raise her in the Capital City of Texas. From a young age she was fascinated with other cultures and had a deep thirst for traveling to these places to experience them for herself.
She has been interested in photography as far back as she can remember. She went to Sam Houston State University to pursue a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Photography. She then moved out to Los Angeles to attend the Art Institute of Los Angeles, focusing on Video Production. After leaving California, she returned to Austin and immersed herself in the service industry. The restaurants she worked in ranged from fine dining to casual meals, but she was always obsessed with knowing how things worked, and especially started studying the production of wine and spirits. She has combined her passions for photography, travel, culture, and spirits in her current position. She’s been to 10 different countries to see distilleries first hand, and to observe bar culture in other cities.
Beth is currently employed at Republic National Distributing Company within the Eagle Division, representing Pernod Ricard. In just 6 months she was promoted to her current position as The Venture Brands Specialist for Pernod Ricard. Her job emphasizes the marketing and education of the boutique spirits within this portfolio. Her love of spirits, especially whisky, has led her to her current work, and to the judging panel for Whiskies of the World.
